MONTHLY NEWSLETTER – APRIL 2010
The following newsletter is
being provided to you from the Wylie Soccer Association. It provides important
information about the Recreational, Academy and Competitive soccer options in
our community that are available to our Wylie children.
DIRT IS FLYING..!!!
Tuesday
April 13th was the official Groundbreaking for the long awaited
Founders Park II Expansion project. The Mayor, City Officials and Parks &
Recreation Board Members were onsite to join in the official launching of the
project. When completed the City of Wylie will have a new complex that includes
more baseball fields, additional soccer fields, hiking and walking trails and
yes…real bathrooms and concessions stands. Stay Tune for more details…..

§
WYSA Office Hours
have changed starting this Spring. The WYSA office is now available on Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday from
9:30am
to 1:30pm
§
Wylie Parks will
be closing parking by the softball fields to begin work on Founders 2.
WISD will be opening the home (north side) of the stadium for additional
parking on Saturdays.
§
Field Usage
– All soccer fields and areas at Founders
Park are closed to team practices. Field usage is only open to City sanctioned
events.
§
Smoking at City Parks
– The City passed an ordinance last year that
prohibits smoking within a specific distance from the parks. Please be
considerate of our young people playing sports by supporting this ordnance and
smoke somewhere other than the soccer fields.
§
Field Marshall
– WYSA is implementing a field marshal program. This season the field marshals
will be support by the WYSA board and selected participants. Please continue to
support these volunteers as we work together to provide a safe and fun filled
program for our children.
§
Pets
– We
respect all family members but all dogs attending family members must be kept
away from the active soccer fields. Additionally, all pet manure must be cleaned
up by the attending family members.
